- Be yourself. People like originality. When you are truly yourself, you will radiate confidence.
- Remember your values. Peer pressure can be cruel and tempting, but it's only temporary. Your values are your reputation and your future. They are all you truly possess; they take a lifetime to build and a moment to destroy. Once they have been compromised, what have you got left?

- Don't ever put yourself down. If people judge or are being mean and rude to you don't be afraid to stand up tell them they're being rude. There is no excuse for being rude. Just don't say it in a mean way. Try saying something like, "I like the way I am, and I think it would be best to stay the way I am." This will benefit on helping them realize that they might have been a bit mean to you. This will also let those people know that you have feelings and a voice.
- Contrary to the popular belief, you don't need to be rich. You don't have to spend loads of money on trendy designer items. In fact, some people might be put off by lots of expensive clothing and accessories. The most important thing is to buy and wear clothes that you like, you feel comfortable in and make you look good.
- Keep your posture "ladylike". Don't slump. Keep a straight back and pull back your shoulders. It actually makes you look taller and slimmer.
- Be industrious. Do good, and eschew evil. Work diligently, not grudgingly and exercise good judgment. Hardworking and thoughtful people are respected.
- Be intelligent, try to get good grades, and work hard at school. Be witty and make insightful comments. You don't have to talk all the time, only when you have something to say that matters. It makes more of an impact.
- Practice good communication. Communication is key, Through proper communication, there is little room for misunderstandings. Guys and girls both hate playing the guessing game so confront him or her with the issue before it builds up.
- Step out of your comfort zone and try new things. It will allow you to meet new people as well as expand your abilities and make you more interesting, but continue to stay true to yourself and don't do anything you dislike.
- It is not necessary to have a boyfriend. If you appear desperate to have one, people will have less respect for you. Similarly, if you have had lots of boyfriends, people will get a bad impression of you. Wait until a guy comes along who likes you for you; be patient, he will come.
Hygiene & Health is important
- Practice good hygiene. Looking and smelling clean is an important part of your image. Make sure you take good care of your body, your hair, your teeth and your nails.Don't bite your nails.
- Take good care of that skin. Remember to wash your face every night with a mild soap, dry with towel, and cleanse with a cotton pad and facial cleansing solution. And keep your hands off to avoid breakouts. Also, don't forget to moisturize, and never go to sleep wearing makeup. It'll look like such a mess in the morning.
- Remember the 3 S's: protect your skin from the sun by remembering to:
- Slip clothing on over your bathing suit when you're not in the water to block sun rays from your skin.
- Slap on a shady hat that covers your face, neck, and ears.
- Slop on sunscreen before going outdoors and remember to re-apply every two hours.
- Nourish your body. Maintain a healthy diet and only allow yourself to have junk food in moderation. Be sure to drink 8 cups of water (8 fl/oz= 1 cup) everyday. Also remember to take a multi-vitamin everyday to help maintain your health.
- Develop an exercise routine. It is recommended that you have 4 to 5 sessions of 30-40 minutes a week. You could join a gym and try some new classes, but memberships can be expensive. You can always go swimming at a local pool, try yoga, go jogging, or join a sports team at school.
- Get your beauty sleep. Make sure that you're getting the recommended 8-10 hours of nightly sleep. Get yourself into a bedtime routine and stick to it (even on the weekends and vacations). To get your body into sleep mode if you're feeling restless, try reading a book, writing in a journal, taking a warm bath, or listening to some gentle music. If you are watching a boring television show, that can also help as long as you turn the volume down to where you almost can't hear it.
- Work on your image. Remember that you are unique and beautiful, but can help to boost your self confidence higher. By looking great, you'll feel great too. Remember to eat healthy foods, sleep, exercise, shower, and get a hair cut/trim a quarter inch every 6 to 8 weeks for best results.
